Abstract:In response to the challenges posed by global warming and the escalating energy crisis, roof greening and distributed photovoltaics are widely used in urban built environments, leading to contradictions in the green utilization of limited roof resources. The Photovoltaic- Green Roof has emerged as an innovative solution in this context, yet research and application of this technology in China remain limited. This study summarizes the development history and technical principles of the Photovoltaic-Green Roof and outlines an integrated design process covering site selection, system selection, construction, and operation and maintenance, and proposes a site selection evaluation framework based on solar radiation, photovoltaic capacity, and roof load; a precise type selection assessment system integrating energy-saving, ecological, and economic benefits; a collaborative construction framework based on multi-stakeholder collaboration, process integration, and quality and efficiency management; and an intelligent operation and maintenance closed-loop process combining Internet of Things perception, algorithmic decisionmaking, and human-machine collaboration. Finally, based on the current state of domestic and international technologies and policies, this study proposes recommendations for promoting and applying Photovoltaic-Green Roofs in China, including the organic transformation of technologies, the unification of construction standards, and policies that account for both temporal and spatial factors.
