Abstract:To ensure the quality of forest (country) park planning, Shenzhen has initiated researchinto the Shenzhen Forest (Country) Park Planning and Compilation Regulation.Basedon summarizing domestic and international experiences of country park developmentexperiences, drawing lessons from Hong Kong's country parks, and referencing relevantdomestic regulations and documents, this study confirms that Shenzhen's forest(country) parks should prioritize natural and conservation functions while incorporatingrecreational, leisure, educational, and scientific research activities, tailored to the city'surban development context. During the planning process, detailed investigations andstudies should be conducted on the current conditions of surrounding areas, upperleveland related plans, and the forest landscape resources of the parks. Through zoningcontrol methods, targeted protection and development measures should be proposedfor ecological conservation areas, ecological restoration areas, and scenic tourism areas.Additionally, ecological conservation and restoration measures should be formulated, with strict restrictions imposed on recreational activitiesand ancillary facilities, aswell assupporting infrastructure.Since its implementation, the regulation has yielded positiveecological and social benefits.
