Abstract:To conduct green space planning from the perspective of biodiversity conservation andexplore the relationship between biodiversity cognition and assessment, this study used theMaxEnt model to analyze the biodiversity distribution in the green spaces of the GuchengArea in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. Additionally, a questionnaire survey was conductedto investigate public cognition of biodiversity in the Gucheng Area and analyze the factorsinfluencing it. The results showed that the biodiversity suitable areas are concentratedaround mountains, lakes and reservoirs, presenting a distribution characteristic of lowerin the north and higher in the south; the public's overall cognition of biodiversity in theGucheng Area is characterized by higher levels in two townships and two towns, withurban parks in the built-up area as the cognition peak. Spatial autocorrelation analysisreveals that the biodiversity distribution index and the biodiversity cognition index exhibita negative correlation and an agglomerated distribution pattern across regional scales.Based on the research results, three strategies for green space planning in the GuchengArea were proposed, including green space optimization, biodiversity cognition promotion, and targeted planning for areas with deviations between public cognition and actualbiodiversity levels.
