Abstract:Urban wetland parks serve as crucial carriers for the public to engage in recreational activities. Exploring the relationship between the spatial characteristics of urban wetland park landscapes and visitors' recreational behaviours is crucial for meeting public recreational needs and enhancing the overall quality of these parks. Taking Kunming Laoyuhe National Wetland Park as the research object, this study conducts a quantitative analysis of the landscape spatial characteristics of urban wetland parks using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and semantic segmentation analysis method. It acquires and examines visitors' recreational behavior patterns through visitors' self-recorded videos, GPS trajectory tracking, and questionnaire surveys, and further clarifies the correlation between various indicators of the landscape spatial characteristics of urban wetland parks and visitors' recreational behaviors. The study found that the popular science and education area has the highest landscape attractiveness, followed by the rational utilization area, the restoration and reconstruction area, and the management and service area. Static behaviors are the main type of visitor behaviors within the wetland park. Within the wetland park, visitors' static behaviors are negatively correlated with the popular science facility index; passing behaviors are positively correlated with the spatial scale clarity and negatively correlated with the bird-watching facility index. The average staying time is positively correlated with the green view index and the richness of vegetation colors.
