Abstract:In the context of ecological city building, Quzhou has been intensely practising the concept of 'two mountains' and actively carrying out urban park construction, showing a history of green ecological development of the city. Through data collection and field research, the development history of urban parks in Quzhou is divided into four stages: the greening rectification stage (1978—1999), the civilized city construction stage (2000—2004), the garden city construction stage (2005—2012), and the ecological construction stage (2013 present), pointing out that the construction of parks relies on local landscape resources, and the overall style is a modern continuation of classical gardens, with a shift from ornamental landscapes to experiential activities, and a gradual compounding of functions. The construction layout of parks is closely related to the scope of urban planning and construction land. The form of parks has changed from 'building green on the point' to connecting points into lines, from lines to surfaces', and then further to 'point green on the surface', showing obvious regional differences in layout. The layout shows noticeable regional differences. It also puts forward five suggestions for the construction of urban parks to provide a reference for medium-sized cities in the transition to green.
