Abstract:The Guangdong exhibition garden of the 10th China Flower Expo, “Yuefang Garden”, with the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC as its core, echoes the theme of this Flower Expo——“Chinese dream is blossoming, and the beauty of planting in Guangdong Province is flourishing”. By applying landscape designing skills with Guangdong features and combining the green ecological concept of “Clear Water and Green Mountains”, Yuefang Garden inherits the traditional gardening skills of Lingnan garden like varying sceneries with changing view-points. Through ingenious terrain shaping and landscape stone layout, based on the diversity characteristics of garden plants in South China and East China, on the basis of investigation and analysis of hydrological climate, soil conditions and other factors in the two places, as well as specific conditions such as soil and plant growth environment in the project site, it selects plant species and special planting measures according to local conditions. At the same time, the mode of combination planting of zonal plants in South China and East China is adopted. Measures above create a garden landscape with prominent Cantonese features, rich plant species, variable space and changing scenery by steps, fully expressing the theme of exhibition garden.
